Wildflour opens new café in Ballard

Having been serving gluten-free treats from its location on 20th Street in Bellevue, our friends at Eater bring word that Wildflour Gluten-Free Baking Co. has recently expanded locations to an outpost at 5404 Leary Ave. NW in Ballard.
"It’s an important development in a neighborhood without many options for dedicated gluten-free restaurants," the site writes, "and offers a spot for fans of the bakery in Seattle to pick up the gluten-free goods without having to drive to the Eastside."
A look at the Ballard menu shows yummy items like a bacon-egg-cheddar breakfast sandwich; a bagel breakfast sandwich of vegan jalapeno cheddar, vegan shallow cream cheese, and chimichurri; and the Sunshiner Sandwich (pictured above): melted cheddar or vegan cheese wit roasted onions, tomatoes, sprouts, and a chipotle aioli.
The new Ballard location is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so find them Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, Wildflour's Instagram brings word of a Labor Day week special with the return of their blackberry galettes on Fridays and Saturdays, and the release of new orange creamsicle cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.
