Floret named one of best airport restaurants by Washington Post

Café Flora has led the way in vegetarian and gluten-free cooking since 1991. Now, its sister restaurant Floret, located in the Seattle-Tacoma International airport, is getting a nod from the Washington Post in its piece "The best restaurants in America's busiest airports."

Floret "makes its own cinnamon rolls, grain bowls, black bean burgers and portobello mushroom French dips," the newspaper writes, highlighting the restaurant in its "quick serve" category.

The restaurant's menu is easy to navigate, with nut-free, vegan, and gluten-free items called out. Some GF highlights include:

  • Breakfast platter of eggs or seasoned tofu with roasted potatoes and garlicky greens

  • Loaded southwest fries topped elote-style

  • Spinach and artichoke dip topped with mozzarella

  • Summer grain bowl of harissa chickpeas, squash, tomatoes, pickled carrots, and crispy tofu

  • Gluten-free substitutions for toasts like avocado elote or strawberry goat-cheese
